For me it does the job it should - calculate. Really cool little thingy. The coolest thingy - drop a color from Colors! on DeskCalc at it uses the color for the buttons. Cute, a must-have for BeOS, because no one from Be Inc. really thought of having a calc app in the OS...like in every other OS...simply cute. :)
I've added a command in my Bootscript so it's placed in the Deskbar as soon as the desktop is shown. Here is how it goes:
After all lines in the Bootscript, add this at the end:
desklink "cmd=Remove DeskCalc:desklink remove=/boot/apps/DeskCalc &" /boot/apps/DeskCalc &
But don't forget, add it in the user bootscript, that is: /boot/home/config/boot/Bootscript. Enjoy :)!

When I try to download DeskCalc, the system simply repaints the DeskCalc home page instead of linking to the file. :(

DeskCalc is essentially no-frills but elegant. The color scheme is nice. The equation-like display is top notch and help prevents mistakes. If you are like most users, don't handle complex math problems each and every day, then DeskCalc is the right choice.
