I could run my restart_input_server scriptlet by doing chmod [blah blah blah], but I wanted some visual confirmation that the command had been run. Much easier than opening a pref panel and clicking a button to restart the input server.
This (potentially automatable) solution resolves a nagging problem with my mouse. For some reason, it gets a bit loopy after a few hours. I may have a driver installed that is messing with the mouse driver (using a Mac, FYI), but restarting the input server brings it right back to life.
Thanks, Pete!
