You need a tree button mouse. Click and hold the middle mouse button in stampTV's window then drag it outside the window and drop.

Hello.
All of you guys still having audio problems with the latest version, please check the Media Test app I just posted to bebits (http://www.bebits.com/app/3762/). Download the package, unpack, run both binaries included (in a Terminal window) and mail me back everything it spits out together with the extra information about your system.

So, all of you guys reporting the volume control was not working please try this new version. It should wok with most of the cards now (I hope so). Just don't forget you *MUST* select an audio input in the Audio->Source menu. Also notice that due to the fact that some drivers/addons are written in a weird way, that menu will list entries that are not even remotely related to audio inputs. Usually you will select an option named "Line" or "Line In".

btw, you should check on "Phase Lock" option. At least for PAL. It is AFC in some sense (Automatic Frequency Control) using PLL techinque.
Regarding channels. You can set your own arbitrary channel set. Create text file /boot/home/config/settings/Media/bt848/tvfavorites.
Format is:
NAME Exact_Frequency_in Herz COLOR_FORMAT.
Fields are separated by tabs.
Example:
BBCP 399250000 PAL-BGDH
MTV 511250000 PAL-BGDHI
etc.
If you don;t see those names in channel control AFTER restart of media server instead "normal names" like E1 or such - then write down your setting for TV/Bt848, remove setting files in that folder (/boot/home/config/settings/Media/bt848) except tvfavorites, restart mediaserver and put setting (tuner type, inputs etc) back.

It really doesn't match, I here I find different chanals with different country settings. BTW what is the use of these pe-set limitations? It is more work to program, more work to select for the user, and it mess up finding all channals.
( try to find canal 37.25 in different country settings )
Beats me

They should match.
TV-frequency sets are VERY conservative, partly to avoiding interference problems. I believe, that those standards wasn't changed about 40 years, at least.
So there may be different problem - wrong Tuner type set in preferences. Those country-depended frequency sets work properly only if tuner type (Philips/Sony/Themic etc) matches your real type/brand

If you're using a BT-848 based card you could try to find the file bt848a11.zip on BeShare. It's a late beta of the driver and allows you to add/edit channels. Don't know how well it plays with other viewing apps than the included one, but I suppose it should be just like the final version.

The problem is, that stampTV makes use of the BeOS system, which devides US UK Europe etc. in pre-set frequencies. These frequencies don't match with what the are actually using. And they ( country )can change it any time. BeOS shouldn't have this build in in the first place, or stampTV could make his own frequency scanner to scan the whole range and store it.

I think what is meant by 'frequency tuner' is the ability to change to a frequency even if it is not mapped to a channel, ie. instead of Channel 85 with the USA-Cable frequency table, just 500 MHz.
